Roger Williams University Dance Brand

Dance education is an important part of people’s lives all around the world. For a Dancer, it encompasses every part of their life and for many, it can be one of their main identities. This brand is close to home for me since I graduated Roger Williams with my secondary major being dance. Already being a part of what I was designing for made figuring out what I needed to do easier. My goal was to take my experience of knowing what it was like being an incoming freshman to program, and my knowledge of how the program was currently represented at the time, and show what I wish I had seen. I developed a logo, a simple prototype website, and promotional booklets. This brand started as a project for a Graphic Design course, and quickly formed into real life. The logo is now used for our merchandise and marketing. What I love so much about this project is that I feel I’ve left a little part of myself for the students to come. A legacy that gets used in different colors on different clothing worn on people with the same experience in this program as the years go on.
